Reiki Courses
The courses that are on offer for 2011 are currently being held at my home on the outskirts of Clacton On Sea. I try to accommodate student's needs in the best way possible, however I do share the course days with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog and Puzzle my trusted feline friend of twelve years. Should this be a problem for you then please let me know prior to our course day and I will do my best to accomidate your needs. However if you are animal friendly then I know Benson will lovingly welcome you with open paws on the day!

Choosing a Reiki Master/Teacher
Choosing a Reiki Teacher is a very personal thing. My suggestion to you would be to research as much as possible. There are many associations that have lists of qualified Master/Teachers. The Reiki Association, Shibumi International Reiki Association and The Reiki Federation are a few of these. Links to these websites are in the links page if you would like to visit these.
When choosing a Reiki Master you must feel a connection with the teacher. Because reiki is such a personal path you must be sure that you feel comfortable with the person teaching you, a rapore if you like. I like to speak with all prospective students prior to booking. This is to find out where you are at in your life at the time of booking so that I am sure we will be compatible as teacher and student. Many teachers I am sure would not object to an inquiring telephone call from a prospective student to find out more about how that teacher conducts a course or simply to ask for more information. (Check with them via email or if they have a website it may have further information about there way of going on there). I am personally open to inquiries as I feel that a curios mind is a free flowing mind and I would be happy to answer any genuine questions about reiki before attending a course. It is however a little difficult to express the depth in which is experienced during a reiki course, because after all the system of reiki is an energetic practice and so to understand it's depths it needs to be practiced. I try to make the course as open to all as possible. The days are filled with laughter and sometimes tears but most of all a relaxed and non judgmental environment that is filled with unconditional love and reiki, reiki, reiki!!
Shoden Reiki level 1
Self Treatment.
This is a two day course starting at 10am and finishing at 4pm.
Shoden level is the very first run on the ladder. The very first step on your reiki path! You will learn techniques during this course that will help and prepare you to deal with every day life in a calmer and much more positive way. Reiki 1 will aid in the release of any mental and spiritual issues that reside within you and help to bring them to the surface for you to deal with. You will be attuned to the reiki energy enabling you to offer treatments to friends and family but ultimately starting you on your journey of self discovery.

- The system of reiki and it's uses in personal

- The physical practice, treating the self
- Techniques and meditations
A comprehensive Shoden manual and a certificate is included on completion of the course.

Course fee: £120.00
Okuden Reiki level 2
Practitioner level.
This is a two day course starting from 10am till 4pm. This course is known as the practitioner level.
Many people find that after taking the shoden level feel drawn to completing okuden soon after. okuden brings about a deeper understanding of the system of reiki and enables students to start offering professional treatments. But does not mean you have to. Many people feel that they feel drawn to deepen their reiki practice for their own development. This decision is purely a personal one and must feel right for you. You will be shown how to conduct a professional reiki treatment and taught how to use three of the four reiki symbols.

Shinpeden level 3
Master Practitioner/Teacher
This is a two/three day course starting from 10am till 4pm.
Becoming attuned to level 3 shinpeden not only gives you the tools to teach others all three levels of reiki but it is also a commitment to reiki practice. Taking the shinpeden attunement is like signing a contract to reiki. It begins to open up a whole new way of life and if you go with the flow can only lead to good things. It enables you to delve much deeper into your own personal reiki practice and your own self beliefs. You will be taught how to give attunements to others and will be shown how to use the third symbol of the system of reiki.
